An Installation artwork that transforms a part of the real world into monochrome tone, as if it were cut out of the place.
This work was created in Kameyama City, Mie Prefecture, at Yuri Barbershop, which closed several years ago. The work still remains in this condition.
I recreated the barber’s tools, sofas, general merchandise, wood-grained walls, and cut-out pictures hanging on the walls that were used there when the barbershop was in business, and transformed them into monochrome style.
First created in 2017, fully remade in 2022.
